Madness, illness, virtue, and art
Sharing love
Respecting parents is considered the foremost virtue.
Lam Pik Ki, now old and frail, often relies on medication while doing laundry and cooking to care for her parents.
Her father is 80 years old, and her mother is 77 years old.
Mother got up and fell at home. Unfortunately, her face was swollen, and her mouth was bleeding. As a daughter, she calmly handled the situation, promptly treating the wound while also being alert to other potential risks.
Mother had a cerebellar stroke in 2018, having high blood pressure and on the verge of diabetes. She often says she is tired and is unsure whether she has gone out or not when asked. She sleeps a lot, is overweight, and has poor memory.
Therefore, she gets angry easily, and she is emotional, pessimistic, and depressed. She needs care during her stroke recovery, and it was worrying that she might jump off a building because of depression after a stroke.
She has a bad relationship with her father and her son.
Father had an accident when he fell down the stairs near their home about a year ago. After being sent to the hospital, it was discovered that he had a brain hemorrhage, and he had problems with his legs and knees, making his walking abnormal. He had previously undergone prostate surgery and had follow-up appointments with an ophthalmologist. He needed to use a urinary bag for a week or two after being discharged, but he refused to use it, and now he goes for regular follow-up appointments at the urology department.
